Soothes Aches and Pains
How Does It Work?
CBD is known for it’s anti-inflammatory and antioxidant abilities. Because the compound interacts with your endocannabinoid system, it has done well in pain relief trials. CBD interacts with receptors in the brain that create changes in the cells throughout the body. These interactions are how CBD impacts your body’s pain, inflammation, and ailments like seizures.
CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of the chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant, also known as marijuana or hemp. It’s a naturally occuring substance that contains little THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, which is the main ingredient in majiuana that makes you feel “high”.

While there is CBD in marijuana plants, most CBD companies stick strictly to hemp plants for their products.
As of right now, there is only one product that is FDA-approved and available on the market—Epidiolex, a medication which was approved to treat specific epilepsy conditions. While there is plenty of anecdotal evidence to suggest that CBD has promise in treating various types of pain and anxiety, there isn’t enough research, long-term or otherwise, for the FDA to greenlight all CBD products on the market.
